Due to ill health I am retiring from the day to day running of Nick Gray Building Plastics. My daughter Emily Carter has taken over responsibility for the day to day running of the company. This was always my long term plan, circumstances however requiring implementation sooner than expected. Emily is a graduate in business management bringing in a new fresh approach. I shall still be around in the back ground offering advice where and when I can focusing on the companies internet presence.

We cannot mention where this is (I am sure you will be able to guess) but here at Nick Gray we are extremely pleased and proud to have supplied our Borg recycled 10 mm sheet and fixings for a covered walk way. It is located behind the main hockey stand and in the shape of a large cruciform, 44 metres one way and 28 metres across the other way, offering cover to four rectangular blocks of portable accommodation used for changing rooms etc. Being recycled Borg met the sustainability requirements of the planners.

Here at Nick Gray Building Plastics we are looking forward to the launch of our new website. Our aim is to have a much quicker site which is easier to move a round and find the information you want.
Apologies to new and old customers who are familiar with the old site and how it works, change can be so frustrating. We hope you find the new site not too dissimilar and soon appreciate the speed of opening pages.
There will be two routes for finding the product you are interested in
a) The left hand menu , a traditional click route. Not everybody has the latest computers. This will also be easier to navigate on mobile phones.
b) Top menu which allows a mouse or track pad to hover over the options selecting your exact product in one click.

This Autumns BLUPAL is now in stock with a couple of small changes.... it is just blue, no opal and the widths are slightly smaller at 600mm 900mm and 1800mm wide.
We are keeping the name BLUPAL as it is a recognised name. Light transmission should be the same as the last batch, which was 15%. If you are concerned about light transmission go for a clear panel instead. The point of BLUPAL is using a recycled product that performs as well as a prime product at a lower price. We would love to hear any feedback or tips regarding the product so that we can pass this on to other Koi Keepers.
As the enquiries build we are hearing more and more horror stories of Koi lost in the cold weather last year. Anybody not lose Koi and if so what do you put that down to?

We wish all our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Look out for our deals and auctions on ebay over the festive period.
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Nick-Gray-Building-Plastics
The above link will take you to our ebay shop. At Christmas we clear out our off cuts and try and drum up some interest in our quiet time of the year. Many auctions starting price is what we can get for scrap. So if you have a project in mind keep an eye on our ebay shop.

Koi Keepers who have bought covers from us, we would love any feedback you have, particularly regarding water temperature. The little feedback we have suggests that a pond covered in blupal will maintain a temperature 6C warmer than an uncovered pool.
Anybody have their own figures, so we can pass them on?
We were very pleased to hear from a customer in Cambridge who started heating his pool when the weather was at its coldest. It took 36 hours to raise the temperature one degree. Once his blupal covers were in place it took only 12 hours.
That suggests to me a 66% reduction in energy. Our blupal sheets will pay for themselves in a matter of months and you will have happy koi swimming around not on the bottom of your pool.
Email sales@nick-gray.co.uk ... and we love receiving photos.

It is with great pleasure and pride we welcome Emily Gray (daughter) to our company, Emily takes on the roll of office manager. This reinforces our "family" business.
Emily is a graduate and has worked in the hotel industry both here and in Canada. Emily will be pivotal in the upgrade of all our office systems which have hardly changed in the last ten years.
